Krystal Ball is a Jamaican visual artist based in the Weston neighbourhood. We commissioned Krystal to paint a mural along a large laneway between 1804 and 1806 Weston Road and inspire the Frontlines community, a not-for-profit organization offering a variety of programs to hundreds of children and youth from Weston and surrounding neighborhoods that Castlepoint Numa also supports, as well as create a welcoming space for the larger community. Her recent body of work has focused on urging viewers to consider a new standard for beauty focused on independence and defiance rather than conformity to cultural norms. We love the new mural!
